I love getting dressed up for formal nights and might have a small obsession with shopping for fashionable cruise wear, especially sunglasses.
But, packing for an Alaskan cruise is altogether different than what you would typically pack for a Caribbean cruise. This venue serves an all-day menu featuring classic American comfort food, like shrimp po-boys, chicken wings, and pork ribs. When I am not cruising, you can find me curled up watching science fiction and fantasy movies and television. You can often find me listening to one of my favorite podcasts or audiobooks, even when I am on the deck of a cruise ship. Additionally, we use an over the door shoe organizer, not for shoes, but rather to store toiletries and other small items to free up counter space. Depending on your travel preferences, you may not wish to bring along as many toiletries as we do. Many cruise lines do provide soaps and shampoos that can save you some space (and weight) in your luggage.
